If you limit the sending interval, it limits also the amount of data because only the latest datapoints are relayed.

BTW, there is an “official” Ruuvi Gateway integration available:

I only now realised that MQTT sending interval is not relevant for me since I’m using the HA integration There it would be helpful to set a limit.
