Are there ideas for future sensor types? I would use water-leak detectors (presence of water). Thanks for the opportunity to offer a suggestion.
That’s a great suggestion! Water-leak sensors would definitely be useful, especially for preventing damage in basements, bathrooms, or around appliances. Future sensor types could also include humidity detectors, air quality sensors, or vibration sensors for even more safety and automation at home.
They currently measure humidity and motion. Vibration would be interesting, but I’m not sure how I’d use it. (I suppose vibration is related to motion—perhaps it’s the derivative, but my calculus is rusty.)

Leak detecting by having a few tiny sensors on the floor would be amazing. I’m wondering if it would work well for BLE when inside some furniture, like under a sink cabinet. Maybe it could also have some buzzer to emit an alert.

The existing sensors work from within refrigerators and freezers, so I think it would work under a kitchen cabinet or bathroom vanity. Great idea!
