osp asks: Terve,
Yritän yhdistää RuuviTagia toiseen puhelimeen. Molemmat on iOS-laitteita. Onkohan tuo edes mahdollista?
Ruuvin firms on iOs beta, jolla siis käppyrät näkyy.
Otto.
Otso replied: Hi Otto,
On iOS, unfortunately, only one device can be connected to RuuviTag at a time. This is due to the limitations of Bluetooth in iOS, in order to track devices while the application is in the background, the Bluetooth connection must be kept on and RuuviTag only supports one connection at a time.
However, in firmware 3.30 23, other devices should detect RuuviTags when the application is in the foreground.
Thanks for the answer. An unfortunate limitation.
How does it work on Android?
Otso replied: Hi Kari,
In firmware version 3.30.X and above, the tags are always visible for scanning, but only one device can be connected at a time. In practice, this means that there can be as many Android devices as you like, because Android only connects when reading history data.
iOS devices have to keep the connection on for the tags’ alarm function, so if you have an iOS device that keeps the connection in use, other devices cannot connect to the tag to read the history. However, other iOS and Android devices see up-to-date data when scanning the sensors.
