I changed new RT names using RuuviApp, but when I read them in Node-red using RuuviTag node, it shows original names like "localName: “Ruuvi 7AE9”
So naming in application is only for application UI and does not update the real name of RT?
You’re right. Application only changes name of sensor in inner DB of your phone.
@ojousima is it possible to change name of the sensor?
We don’t support changing the name over BLE at least right now. The Bluetooth name could technically be updated at runtime, but implementing a protocol for changing the name and storing it in the tag over reboots and software updates would be a lot of work.
