Organising Ruuvi units by location/room

This is a request to allow organising Ruuvi-units by location/room. This would be useful when having units in several locations which mean even different countries.

As an alternative integration with Apple Home which already has all the requested features.

I have to admit that I had taken organising by location for granted. I have already purchased 8 units which I had intented for 3 different locations. I will refrain from buying additional units until these can be organised better. This is how important this feature is.

Am I alone missing this feature?

Thanks for this feature request @kdr69

This has been in our internal discussions a lot, and we are very interested in hearing which way would be the best way to implement this feature.

We assume that currently many of our users have sorted the dashboard view by organising the sensors by drag and drop and then possibly naming the sensors with descriptive name. This is of course not an ideal solution, and we want to bring the best possible solution that works in all use cases on all platforms.

Hi Marko,

Unfortunately that is the only way available. The list gets quickly very long if we consumers buy as many units as you want to sell. Lot of scrolling up-and-down. All this could be avoided if the items could be grouped into ”Rooms” or tiles.

You could β€œgroup” the sensors with a prefix.

for example using the street number, left or right numbers from zip code.

02-basement
02-familyRoom
02-garage
09-basement
09-garage
14-familyroom
14-garage
14-basement

Does this help??

No since it still just a list. No difference to how I organise today:

Location 1 - item 1…

Location 2 - item 1…
