Example:
-Above treshold value XX °C you receive a push notification
-Below treshold value 0 °C (frost alarm) you receive an e-mail alert and a push notification
-Below treshold value XX % RH you receive only an e-mail alert
This could help to set up certain treshold value and actions you need to take.
A push and e-mail alert can be seen as a critical treshold, while a push alert only is more like a warning.
Looks like this one has been requested a while ago but no progress yet.
Any updates on it?
For me the most important part of this is the multiple alerts for the same variable. Simply getting that would make a huge difference – and is the deciding factor between having to go with a competitor’s products or Ruuvi products which I really like.
As Tom the original poster mentions being able to set various thresholds for temperature and humidity is very useful. Even if the notification continues to be via push notification only that would already be a major upgrade of functionality.
This has been implemented in form of a general app setting which allows you to set alert notification source to either push alert (mobile) or email alert or both. This can be found in the Ruuvi Station mobile app under App Settings → Alert notifications and in Web app under Settings.
Please notice that you will need minimum Ruuvi Cloud Basic in order to receive push alerts and minimum Ruuvi Cloud Pro in order to receive email alerts.
