Yes,
I have a Ruuvi that I have synched to a Raspberry Pi Grafana server for data.
I am wondering if it’s possible to record the CAPE (Convective Area Potential Energy) on Grafana with my RuuviTag.
This measurement is crucial to predicting severe weather.
IF it is possible, how would I do it???
Thanx in Advance,
Mike

Assuming hydrostatic equilibrium, CAPE is calculated as the positive temperature difference between the theoretical parcel and environmental lapse rates, vertically integrated with respect to the natural logarithm of pressure, p , between the level of free convection (LFC) and equilibrium level (EL):

To be honest, I’ve no idea what that means in practice. If having pressure and temperature measurements from two points is enough to calculate the CAPE, it might be doable.
