Hey everyone,
I recently came across the Ruuvi Tag and Ruuvi Tag Pro, which are great products for stationary use. However, I think there’s an opportunity to create something even more portable for outdoor activities like hiking, skiing, or camping.
My idea is for a smaller, more compact sensor that could easily fit in your pocket or attach to your gear. Think along the lines of the Garmin Tempe sensor, but with a focus on the following features:
- Compact and Lightweight: Perfect for carrying around on outdoor adventures.
- Rugged Design: Waterproof and shock-resistant, so it can handle rough conditions.
- Rechargeable: Charging the sensor, Li-Ion for smaller Footprint
- Open Source: Same great open source possibilities and software
- Accurate Monitoring: Not just temperature and humidity, but maybe even air pressure or altitude.
- Bluetooth Connectivity: For easy pairing with your smartphone or other devices.
Such a device could be a great tool for outdoor enthusiasts, sports professionals, or even researchers who need reliable environmental data on the go. What do you all think? Would there be interest in something like this?
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts and any suggestions you might have!
Cheers
