Get data using Windows without the mobile app

I have a general question:
Is it possible to get data from the ruuvittag using a Windows desktop without the mobile app?

I booted a virtual machine with Linux to get data on my Windows PC at some point.

It’s possible, but takes some effort and you’d probably have easier time buying a Raspberry Pi 4 which acts as a gateway and server on which you can browse for data.
