Could Someone Give Me Guidance on Ruuvi Tag Integration with Home Automation System?

Hello everyone :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

I hope you are well. I am currently researching the integration of Ruuvi Tags into my home automation system and would love to hear your thoughts and ideas.

I have been a home automation fanatic for a few years; using various sensors and devices to improve my living space. I recently discovered Ruuvi Tags and was amazed by their versatility and the variety of environmental data they can provide, including temperature; humidity; and air pressure. The prospect of employing RFID tags to monitor various sections of my home or even external conditions is quite attractive.

  • I am wondering how to best integrate Ruuvi Tags into my present system. My home automation hub runs on home assistant.

  • I would like to measure temperature and humidity levels in specific rooms, especially in regions prone to wetness & temperature changes; to maintain a comfortable living environment and minimize mold formation.

  • I am interested in creating alerts based on specific thresholds e.g., temperature dips, humidity spikes that will trigger me to take action; such as lowering the thermostat & using a dehumidifier.

Understanding historical trends is really essential to me. I would welcome any tips on how to enter data from the Ruuvi Tags into Home Assistant and develop visuals to aid decision-making.

Also I explored some topics related to this https://f.ruuvi.com/t/wanted-research-regarding-homedevopstraining-automation-systems-ruuvitag/4166/2 but I did not get the sufficient solution of my query so I would really want to get some help from a more experienced person

I would also like to hear about any unusual use cases you have implemented with Ruuvi tags, as well as any potential issues or restrictions I should be aware of. If you find any specific instructions or materials useful during the integration process, please share them.

Thank you in advance for your assistance; I look forward to your replies and learning from the community collective knowledge. :hugs: :hugs: :hugs:

I have some unusual applications. See MyBeacons.info

Let me know if you have any questions.

Hi @Nora ,

Thanks for your message!

RuuviTag sensors are supported in Home Assistant, you have probably already added the sensors using their integration, if you haven’t here is the link: RuuviTag integration.
