The current options for reclaiming sensors are via NFC or Bluetooth. Both require the sensor to be in close proximity. This is a good thing since it insures that the user claiming the sensor has it and therefore is genuinely the owner.
However, sensors are frequently located in places that are difficult to get to for example int the attic, in an basement crawl space.
Another option for reclaiming might be to establish a password for the sensor on the server and allow a match to claim ownership.
In the case of a sensor that currently does not have (an active ) owner allow any user to claim it ( not my favorite idea)
Any other ideas on this?
