As a owner of a fireplace, it would be nice to be able to monitor carbon monoxide levels and get an alarm if a limit is reached.

Why do you want to know CO specifically?

”To ensure safety, a certified CO alarm is the only reliable method for monitoring dangerous CO levels from any fuel-burning appliance, including fireplaces.”
While there does not seem to be an algorithm to determine CO from VOC, NO, AQI high levels of these would seem to indicate hazardous conditions.
