One of my tags in freezer suddenly experienced voltage drop. Voltage dropped below the threshold for tag to function normally and it died. Last successful read from tag shows 2.131v, but it lowest was 1.891v. I took tag from freezer to room temperature and after few hours it recovered and is not functioning normally. Anyone else experienced this kind of problem before ?
If the battery is old, it probably was drained to a point where it can no longer function in subzero-temperatures. When you take the battery back to room temperature it might function a while longer.
