Short version update:

v3.0 was released a few months ago and now uses the async Bleak Bluetooth adapter by default. It supports Linux, Windows, and macOS. Support for synchronous methods is still available and can be enabled with the RUUVI_BLE_ADAPTER="bluez" environment variable.

v3.1 has just been released and now includes support for downloading stored history data from the RuuviTag’s internal memory.
