This could be an interesting option to show nearby RuuviTag sensor readings. No WiFi to relay to internet but could store some history and work as a hub on your wall.

nRF52840 chip, e-ink display and running Zephyr.

I hope so, Zephyr has a large community and great support. One missing piece is the NFC drivers: Provide NFC Library · Issue #5703 · zephyrproject-rtos/zephyr · GitHub
