Any tips for closing the cover? It seems like it’s totally air tight, which is awesome, but I can’t close it all the way because the air pressure inside pops it back open. (I don’t have a cover with a breathing sticker.)

It’s possible to close fully closed enclosure with o-ring but it’s bit more tricky. You need to “bend” top cover while closing, so all air can get out. Other way is close enclosure with a small screwdriver between two parts.
